Keeping on top of the maintenance within you home can sometimes seem like a big job, bit if you give yourself a list and keep an eye on the key areas of your home, there is no reason why your home should fall into disrepair.

We have put together some of the top home maintenance tips that we have gathered over the years, and these also extended into the workplace as well.

We have found that many business owner tend to neglect their building, especial in restaurants where there is a lot of other maintenance to worry about, like furniture and the kitchen.

So with that in mind we are going to give you an easy list that everyone can get some use out of, so lets get started.

  • Windows – these are a crucial part of your home, so it is important to make sure that they are in working order. Check the frames so signs of damage, and make sure they are sealing properly but putting your hand around the frame and feeling for a draft. If you feel cold air at any point, your windows could need attention.
  • Furnature – Check your furnature is in good condition and move it around so that you can clean under them. People usually don’t ever clean under their sofas and beds, and a great deal of dust an dirt builds up which can attract pest and other problems, so make sure you do this at least once a year.
  • Paint – Check the paint on your home, both outside and inside. If you find that there is any flaking paint of paint that needs attention, make sure you have the area properly checked, prepared and painted.
  • Damp – Check you home for any signs of damp, especially in the winter months. If you have damp walls or floors, there could be a greater underlying problem that need to be addressed
